January 31, 2009
Well, it finally happened. On January 31, 2009, at about 10 AM, Google took a dump on the Internet. If you did a search, every listing came up with the following:
"This Site May Harm Your Computer"
Every Internet marketer, searcher and person went into a panic.
But that doesn't even begin to tell the story.
Imagine you're Microsoft and your site is tagged with this message.
Can you say the word "lawsuit?"
There is no telling what kind of fallout is going to occur from this mess. No doubt Google is going to have to go into damage control mode right now.
In the meantime, what if there was a REAL maleware threat?
Point is, you need to have your PC protected with up to date spyware, maleware and anti virus protection. Stay away from Norton though. Their products are viruses themselves. Below is something I recommend. It works and it won't wreck your PC.
It will be interesting to see how this Google thing plays out.
